PSB plant trees as part of Green Pakistan campaign

ISLAMABAD, Feb 9 (APP):A ceremony in connection with “Green Pakistan Tree Plantation Campaign” was held here at Pakistan Sports Complex on Friday.
Ministry of Inter Provincial Coordination (IPC), Secretary, Syed Abu Ahmad Akif was the chief guest on the occasion while IPC additional secretary Muhammad Ashraf, Shahbaz Ahmed Senior (Secretary Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF); Shakeel Abbasi (Hockey player), Hameed ul Haq (Tennis coach), Aqeel Khan (Tennis player), Mrs. Sadaf Siddiqui (Athletics), Ms. Najia Rasool (Taekwondo),Dr. Muhammad Akhtar Nawaz Ganjera (Director General Pakistan Sports Board PSB); Mansoor Ahmed Khan (Deputy Director General Admn, PSB); Muhammad Shahid (Deputy Director General PSB); Shazia Ejaz (Assistant Director PSB); Malik Imtiaz Hussain (Assistant Director PSB) and other renowned sports personalities were also present on the occasion.
Speaking on the occasion, IPC Secretary said plants has variety of advantages therefore we must plant as much as plants as we can.
“Unfortunately Pakistan is situated where we have less water but we have to do our best to mitigate the impact of climate change and global warming,” he said.
On the occasion, trees were planted by Shahbaz Ahmed Senior, Syed Abu Ahmad, Muhammad Ashraf, Aqeel Khan and other renowned sports personalities.
