Educational Robotics: Teaching STEM Through Projects

Robotics makes STEM tangible. For successful learning:

  • Use scaffolded projects: blink LED → drive motor → follow line.
  • Mix hardware and coding to show real-world cause and effect.
  • Assess with rubrics (design, code readability, testing).
  • Encourage team roles (builder, coder, tester, documenter).

Recommended starter stack: Arduino/Nano, TB6612 motor driver, IR sensors, micro metal gearmotors, and a 2S LiPo with proper protection.
